Custom Closets in Mississauga

Mississauga splits neatly into two closet problems. In the tower cluster around Square One, space is tight and the building has rules. In Erin Mills, Meadowvale, Streetsville and Lorne Park, the homes are larger but the closets are 1970s and 1980s originals — wide, shallow, and using about half the volume they contain. A real ARV install — finished custom closet project

Square One condos

Condo closets near Square One

Suite closets in these towers are frequently shallower than the 24 inches a standard system assumes. Rather than forcing a system that does not fit, we build shallower carcasses with angled hanging — you lose a little presentation and gain a closet that actually closes. Where a suite has a den or a wide entry, a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe wall almost always gains more storage than reworking the original closet.

The building sets the schedule. Service elevator booking, a certificate of insurance filed with property management, permitted install hours, a loading dock window. We handle all of it before the truck leaves North York — it is routine, and it is the part that most often delays projects when a contractor has not done it before.

Suburban originals

The 1970s suburban closet

West of Mavis, most homes we work in were built between 1968 and 1988. The bedroom closets are typically wide — sometimes eight feet — but shallow, with a single rail spanning the whole run and one shelf above. Width without depth is the least efficient storage shape there is: shirts hang fine, but nothing stacks and nothing can be reached at the back.

These respond well to being split into zones rather than treated as one long rail: double hanging at one end, a drawer bank in the middle, full-height shelving at the other. Same opening, roughly double the capacity.

FAQ

Mississauga closet questions

Do you handle condo building requirements?

Yes — elevator booking, insurance certificate and install-hour restrictions are routine.

My closet is very wide but very shallow. Can that be fixed?

Yes, and it is one of the bigger improvements we make. Splitting a long single rail into zones typically doubles usable capacity.

Do you work in Port Credit and Lorne Park?

Yes, and across Erin Mills, Meadowvale, Streetsville and Cooksville — and west into Oakville, Milton and Burlington.
