Closets Built to Your Space, Not the Average

Every closet we build starts with a tape measure in your home, not a catalogue. Standard closet kits are made for a room that doesn’t exist — a perfect rectangle with square corners and no ductwork. Real bedrooms have a slope over the stairs, a radiator in the wrong place, a door that swings into the only wall worth using. That is the part we design around, and it is the reason a built-to-measure closet holds roughly a third more than an off-the-shelf system in the same footprint.

A real ARV project — fitted millwork, floor to ceiling

We design, build and install everything ourselves from our workshop on Finch Avenue West in North York. No subcontractors, no handoffs, no one blaming the other trade.

Transparent pricing

Pricing you can actually see

Custom closets start at $950. That figure is a real starting point for a reach-in closet with shelving, hanging rails and a finished interior — not a teaser number that disappears once you ask a question.

Your quote is itemized line by line: carcass, doors, drawers, rails, lighting, hardware, delivery, installation. If you want to remove the LED strip or downgrade the drawer runners to bring the number down, you can see exactly what that saves. We would rather you understand the price than be surprised by it.

  • Reach-in closet, shelving and rails — from $950
  • Reach-in with drawers and sliding doors — typically $1,800–$3,000
  • Walk-in closet, full wall system — typically $3,500–$7,000
  • Wardrobe wall with integrated lighting — quoted per project
Three ways to build

Reach-in, walk-in, or a wall of wardrobe

Reach-in closets. The standard bedroom closet, rebuilt properly. Double hanging where it makes sense, adjustable shelving above, drawers instead of a floor full of shoes. Sliding or hinged doors, or open if you prefer.

Walk-in closets. Full-height systems with a mix of hanging heights, drawer banks, shoe shelving and glass-front sections. Lighting integrated into the shelving rather than a bulb overhead.

Wardrobe walls. For bedrooms with no closet at all — common in older Toronto homes and in condo dens. A floor-to-ceiling built-in that reads as part of the architecture, not a piece of furniture pushed against the wall.

Hallway, entry and laundry storage. The small closets that do the most work in a house and get the least attention.

Materials & hardware

Real materials, real hardware

We build with WOODca Design panels and, where a project calls for a fluted or slatted front, Swan Canada panels — the same materials we use in our media walls, in 62 finishes. Soft-close runners and hinges are standard, not an upgrade line on your quote. Anti-fingerprint finishes are available on request and are worth it on a closet door you touch every morning.

Everything we install carries a written warranty. Not a verbal promise on the doorstep — a document.

Process

From measurement to installed, in about two weeks

  • Free on-site measurement. We come to you, measure the real space and talk through how you actually use it — how much hangs long, how much folds, whether shoes or bags are the problem.
  • Design and itemized quote. A layout and a priced breakdown, usually within two to three days.
  • Built in our workshop. Roughly one to two weeks depending on finish and drawer count.
  • Installed clean in 1–2 days. Your bedroom is not a workshop. We cut in the shop, protect the floors, and take the packaging with us when we leave.
Where we work

Custom closets across the GTA

We work from North York across the Greater Toronto Area. Choose your city for local details, recent projects and the questions we get asked most there:

Planning more than one room? Many clients pair a closet with a custom media wall while our team is already on site — one measurement visit, one install window, one warranty.

FAQ

Closet questions

How long does the whole process take?

Two to three weeks from measurement to installed, in most cases. Rush timelines are sometimes possible — ask when we measure.

Can you work around a sloped ceiling or a bulkhead?

Yes, and those are usually the projects where a custom build pays for itself. A stock system simply cannot use that space.

Do I need to empty the closet before you arrive?

Yes, please — empty and, if possible, clear about a metre of floor in front of it.

Is there a charge for the measurement or the design?

No. The on-site measurement and the layout are free, and you keep the quote whether or not you go ahead.
