Oakville interiors are held to a higher standard, and a media wall here has to read as architecture, not furniture. We design quiet, precise pieces — low-glare matte faces, shadow-gap details, fluted texture used sparingly — that sit comfortably next to designer kitchens and custom millwork throughout the rest of the house. Every one is among the custom media walls built in our workshop and installed clean on site.
A real ARV install — finished media wall project
Almost nobody in the GTA publishes starting prices. We do — and your itemized quote breaks down every element before any work starts.
In Oakville the media wall is rarely the only custom piece in the home, so it has to keep up: tone-matched to the kitchen, aligned with sight lines from the hall, sized to the ceiling. We fabricate off-site in finished sections at our workshop, which is how the reveals stay consistent and the install stays to one or two clean days. Materials are WOODca Design panels with Swan Canada fluted panels for texture — real samples in hand before you decide anything.
The older side of Oakville is the more technical build. Around Bronte harbour, in Kerr Village and through the heritage streets near the lake, much of the stock is post-war or older — plaster over lath in places, aged drywall in others, and walls that have rarely stayed plumb through decades of settling. You cannot simply hang a heavy built-in off a wall like that and expect the reveals to stay tight.
So we build these free-standing: a carcass that carries its own weight and is scribed to meet the wall’s real, uneven surface, so the finished piece looks original to the house rather than bolted onto it. The newer, master-planned parts of Oakville are the easy case by comparison — flat walls, square rooms — but the same off-site approach applies to both: the wall is fabricated in finished sections at our North York workshop and installed in one or two clean days, which is how the finish stays as precise as these homes expect.
Starting at $2,400, though most Oakville projects choose premium finishes and integrated lighting and land between $4,500 and $9,000. The quote is itemized, so you can see exactly what each choice adds.
Very often, yes. The WOODca range covers current kitchen finishes closely — matte lacquer looks, woodgrains, stone-look faces — and we bring physical samples to compare against your existing millwork in your own light.
That's the brief we design to. Panel lines are set out from your ceiling height and trim datum, lighting is recessed rather than stuck on, and the piece is detailed to read as built-in architecture rather than a TV unit.
